Receptionist

The Public Health and Social Development Sectoral Bargaining Council (PHSDSBC) promotes labour peace and collective bargaining in the public health and social development sectors.

We seek to appoint individuals who are conversant with the policy and legislative framework that governs the public service labour relations arena, with reference to the health and social development sectors.

It is the intention of the PHSDSBC to promote representativity and achieve affirmative action measures, as contemplated in the Employment Equity Act, 1998. The PHSDSBC invites suitable persons to apply for the following position based in Centurion, Pretoria.

Purpose of the post:

The purpose of this position is to ensure the efficient and effective provision of
frontline support service to all structures of the PHSDSBC. A dynamic, selfmotivated
professional with well-developed, proven capability in the frontline or
service desk operations, is required.

Reporting line:

The position reports to the Information and Communications Technology (ICT)
Manager.

Key Performance Areas:

To ensure that the reception area is well managed and displays a professional image of the PHSDSBC.
To manage all incoming calls and all walk-in clients efficiently.
To manage all incoming correspondence and ensure that these are dispatched timeously.
To ensure that all administration and filing systems are accurate and updated regularly.
To assist with marketing and communications processes.
To assist with the co-ordination of ad-hoc departmental projects as and when required.

Requirements:

Candidates should have a recognised one (1) year National Certificate in
Administration and a minimum of one (1) year proven experience in frontline or
helpdesk operations.

Competencies

The candidate must be fluent in a minimum of least two (2) South African languages, have attention to detail, possess good interpersonal communication skills, have a positive attitude, be a people’s person, excel in service delivery, behave in a professional manner, and have excellent knowledge of the Ms-Office packages, such as word, excel, and power point, etc.
