RIP Mr Ronnie Johnson

Mr Ronnie Johnson, the erstwhile President of the NPSWU, was one of the founding members of the Council, and served as a Council member for well over a decade. He represented the workers’ interests with zeal, and valuably contributed to the negotiations processes of the Council. He was an inspiration to the trade unions and the Employer; as he continuously strove to fight for the rights of the workers.

It is with deepest sadness that we convey the untimely demise of this stalwart veteran, who will be laid to rest in Ladysmith, on 15 August 2015.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to his family and friends, at this difficult time of bereavement.

May his soul rest in peace.
